As part of the Kirstenbosch summer concert series, this weekend of traditional Christmas songs has become one of the brightest events among the season’s shows. Held at one of the world’s most gorgeous botanical gardens, the manicured lawns and gently sloping hills provide the perfect acoustics for the joyous strains of both the Cape Town Concert Brass and the Cape Town Male Voice Choir. The beauty of both natural setting and the angelic music makes this a perfect event for either a romantic picnic reclining on the lawn or a family night where the kids can dance along to favourite, age-old tunes.
Come early and warm up with some pre-caroling entertainment from 17:00-19:00. And by attending, you will also be contributing to a worthy cause during this gift-giving season; sponsored by Pick’n’Pay, all proceeds go to local charities.
