Ice Skating & More In Hyde Park

It’s that time of year again: Yes, it’s the holiday season, but more importantly, it’s cold, which means Londoners can once again enjoy ice skating and other winter festivities in Hyde Park.

Hyde Park has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland, with fabulous and fun activities for the whole family. Ice skating is only one of the many attractions to these seasonal festivities. From the giant observation wheel, to circus rides, visits with Santa Claus, Christmas markets, and a magical ice kingdom, there is truly something in Hyde Park for everyone.

Ice skating sessions last one hour and are available hourly throughout the day. These are especially popular, so we strongly recommend that you reserve your skating session ahead of time, or risk some serious disappointment from the kids. And it’s no surprise that ice skating in Hyde Park is so popular. The rink is set around a Victorian bandstand, and illuminated with over 100,000 pea-lights. This year’s theme is the Ice Age 4 Ice Rink, so the little ones are sure to enjoy the magical atmosphere.

But ice skating isn’t the only attraction to the festival in Hyde Park. The Christmas markets here are impressive: More than 150 charming wooden chalets, all of which sell unique hand-made crafts, traditional yuletide gifts, jewellery, winter wear, wooden toys and Christmas decorations. Your whole family is sure to find something to treasure.

There is also an amazing selection of circus rides for thrill-seekers young and old. From carousels to roller coasters, you’ll be able to get a few thrills along with your winter chills!

{Lime&Tonic Tip: After you’ve enjoyed the festivities, why not pop over to The Ampersand Hotel for a fabulous dinner party!}
