The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia has teamed up with six city chefs to create a uniquely “warming” fundraising effort.

All you need to do is text the word SHARE to 80888 to make a $10 donation and you’ll receive a special soup recipe from one of the following chefs if you’re dining at their restaurant when you do it: Terence Feury of FORK; Hugh Moran of POD; Mitch Prensky of Supper; Walter Staib of City Tavern; Peter Woolsey of Bistrot La Mintette; or Eric Yost of the White Dog Cafe.

The effort is called “Chefs for Sharing” and is targeted at raising funds for people who will have trouble putting food on their table this Christmas. Don’t have time to get out for a restaurant meal? You can still send the text to donate or give on their website because after all, Christmas is about giving, right?
