We got another great tip and went to check it out. By the border of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, right in front of Flamengo’s headquarter, takes place the Lagoa’s Oar Stadium. Does it look familiar to you? Well, it may be, but if you don’t know it yet, or if you haven’t been there for a long time, you’ll get surprised by its last improvements.

The Lagoon Complex is managing the place and have been revitalizing the area which will gather: sports center, leisure, culture, gastronomy and entertainment. Filled with so many options, the Lagoon couldn’t be anywhere else in Rio, right?

The Cinépolis Lagoon inaugurated six movie theaters, supporting over a thousand spectators, but what really pops up is the view of the Lagoa and the Corcovado. As its own slogan says: “You’ve seen this place in the movies, but movies in this place you have never even imagined”. We agree & love the initiative.

Popcorn and movies walk side by side, right? But what about trying out some nachos or hot-dogs? If you have more refined tastes, there’s a pleasant lounge with crepes, smoothies, frappes, varied kinds of coffee, and other delicious dishes. But if you’d rather drink a cold chopp and taste some appetizers, you must visit the Cine-Bar.

Wait, we’re not over yet! By the end of the trip, take a walk or have an ice cream by the Lagoa. Admire its amazing water mirror! A breathtaking view, even for native people, already familiar with Rio’s beauties.

With such a glamour, going to Cinépolis Lagoon is not just going to the movies.
