If you ask someone who was born in Rio what is the most symbolic aspect of the city, you’ll hear different answers: the empathy, the women’s beauty, the way they treat outsiders, the good mood, the solidarity… Anyway, there are so many attributes which indeed define the Rio’s soul.

Besides all these qualities, Rio is amazing because of its natural beauties and relaxed way of life, getting all natives proud to be cariocas and delighting the tourists. That’s good! We can only be grateful and hope you enjoy it as much. So if you want to have some fun, we can give you a little hand!

The Lime&Tonic starts today the category Entertainment, which promises to be your reference when it comes to fun. We’ll present the best options around the town, always with that plus! Enjoy it and have fun!

The attraction which will start this category is Zozô, a restaurant which gathers contemporary gastronomy and quality music in a modern and comfortable ambient. Taking place at Urca, right at the base of Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf), it’s possible to appreciate the movement of the trolleys through the glass roof, which integrates the space and the environment in a natural way! At the main lobby, a centennial tree catches your sight.

The architecture design and decoration was signed by the awarded architect Vicent Giffoni, who explored the combination of couches and curtains to create a much cozier lounge, integrating wooden furniture very well to the sophisticated ambient. A well done rustic touch!

Recently, a very charming soundproof mezzanine was inaugurated. Containing a bar and private bathrooms, it’s the perfect ambient for exclusive parties. Zozô is about to grow and surprise again. Here comes a terrace which promises to be outstanding!

In this multiple space, the talented chef Marcelo Tanus commands the kitchen with a simple, sophisticated and plain cuisine. The contemporary menu, based on the Italian gastronomy with a little touch of French cuisine, became more classic and achieved the combination of high quality food with Rio’s informality.

Even with an amazing space, a privileged location and a tasty cuisine, Zozô still haven’t got enough on innovation. One of its associates, Luis Tepedino, idealized a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for those who want to eat well, dance and have fun in the same place, besides knowing interesting people – of course! So, did you like this idea? We love it! So, this is the Dinner Club concept, wich was brought to the Friday and Saturday nights at Zozô. A challenge that worked out and, every week, gathers a very faithful, demanding and diversified audience.

The Dinner Club success made Zozô think again about innovating to entertain more their clients and friends during the weekdays. So came out the idea of getting back Rio’s tradition: the Bossa Nova. More than just a pleasant night, it’s a tribute to Rio’s history. Nowadays, on tuesdays, the group Bigorna Quinteto presents classics hits from Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, João Gilberto and Dorival Caymmi. We highly recommend it! J

To fulfill the schedule of this charming restaurant/bar/nightclub, wednesday and thursday’s nights usually present very nice brazilian music concerts, and sometimes even international ones. Stay tuned! To keep up with the news and know the Zozô’s schedule, click here and “Like” its Facebook page!
