The perfect Sunday afternoon starts at Barista Fair Trade Coffee, where you can celebrate your last day of weekend freedom with a cup of coffee and a yummy morsel (or two) like the manchego cheese and quince marmalade sandwich, a hearty grilled focaccia, or a bulgur salad. If all that lounging around on Saturday (or all that partying on Saturday night) has worked up a big appetite, Barista also offers bigger meals like pasta salads, lasagne, quesadillas and organic pancakes.
In 2010 Barista got in second place in the Swedish Barista cup.
Barista strives to offer something for everyone, so you can get your cold sandwiches on gluten-free bread, and your coffee with lactose-free or soy milk. Barista serves organic coffee and they have three different beans to chose from: two blends and one single-bean brew that changes seasonally. They also have the distinction of being the first ethical coffee shop in Scandinavia.
When your coffee is finished and your sandwich all gone, you can slide downstairs and see a movie! In the café’s Victoria Theatre, you can enjoy the feeling of watching movies before 3D and enormous halls took over.
