Experience Pop-Up Dining at The Larder

Looking for things to do in Sydney this winter? Restaurateurs have been getting creative this year, so it’s hooray for us to something new and fresh to get us out of the house over the winter months! Last week saw a new pop-up restaurant from the team at Otto Ristorante.

But don’t put this one off for another day, it will be gone just as quickly as it appeared. Only here for a short 3 month stint, this surprise dining experience adds some intrigue to the Sydney restaurant scene. The Larder will offer up a menu that will change almost daily depending on what’s in store in their… well, Larder! Although the menu may be unpredictable you are assured of a hearty comforting meal perfect for the winter chill.

What to do in Sydney - Pop Up Dining!

Woolloomooloo Wharf is typically associated with a high price-tag, so the concept behind The Larder was to create an intimate and casual dining experience but with a price that is welcoming to all. It is all about creating somewhere that will make you just want to pop-in for a visit with family and friends.

Snacks and entrees range from $10-$15 with mains set at no more than $25, but just because the price has dropped does not mean the calibre of food has changed. You will still be served up delicious dishes with the flavours and quality that Otto is well-known for. Head chef Richard Ptacnik, may indulge you hearty mains like lamb shoulder ragout with polenta; marinated BBQ beef short ribs; scotch fillet with smoked potato puree; or even an old favourite–fish n chips. End with a wonderful winter pud’ of panettone bread ‘n’ butter pudding–yum!

Hmm.. it sounds like the perfect opportunity to experience the luxury of Woolloomooloo Wharf dining, a spectacular Sydney vista and Otto’s fine cuisine but without the hit on the back pocket–count us in!

Vibe: Casual and relaxed
